Army holds off Gardner Webb 103-98 in OT

WEST POINT, N.Y. (AP) Tanner Plomb scored a career-high 31 points, Kyle Wilson added 20, and Army beat Gardner Webb 103-98 in overtime on Saturday night at the Barclays Center Classic, ending a two-game skid.

Isaiah Ivery put the Bulldogs up 93-92 with a free throw in OT, but Wilson's free throw and 3-pointer gave Army a 96-93 edge and the Black Knights outshot the Bulldogs 10-5 in the final 1:56.

Kevin Ferguson scored 17 points with 10 rebounds and Dylan Cox added 10 points for the Black Knights (5-2), who led 45-30 at halftime and looked to run away with it.

But the Bulldogs clawed back to trail 89-86 until Dylan Poston hit a 3 with 1 second left to tie it at the end of regulation.

Harold McBride scored a career-high 31 points with five 3s, Tyrell Nelson added 20 with eight rebounds, and Poston finished with 18 and five 3s for Gardner Webb (2-5).
