Only 75 teams have reached the six-win threshold for bowl eligibility, leaving the NCAA with five bowl spots to fill. Three teams with 5–6 records (Kansas, State, Georgia State and South Alabama) have games on Saturday and can secure bowl eligibility with a win.

Missouri, which ranks second among five-win teams in APR, announced Monday that it would not apply for bowl eligibility in order to focus on hiring a new coach.

This season’s bowl slate features a record 40 games, not including the College Football Playoff.
