Photos: Navy unveils new uniforms and custom helmets for each position

Navy has unveiled new uniforms and helmets that the Midshipmen will wear when they face Army on Dec. 12.
The helmets are unique to each position, marking the first time in NCAA football history that players will wear different helmets corresponding to their positions. Each helmet is hand-painted with a specific ship that correlates to a set group of player positions. There are seven different helmets that pay tribute to ships that have comprised the U.S. Naval Fleet throughout history.
The No. 22 Midshipmen also revealed new dark blue uniforms and gloves that state, “Damn the Torpedoes.”
