SC-Upstate dominates Toccoa Falls 101-54

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) Deion Holmes scored 20 points as South Carolina-Upstate dominated Toccoa Falls 101-54 to pick up its first win of the season on Monday night.

Josh Cuthbertson made 6 of 9 from the floor for 15 points, Jacob Schulte made all six of his field goal attempts for 13 points and Michael Buchanan chipped in 11 points and had four blocks for SC-Upstate (1-7).

The Spartans took their first lead midway through the first half, stretched that to 50-31 at the break and led 73-42 at the 10:10 mark of the second half.

SC-Upstate made 42 of 72 (58.3%) field goal attempts while limiting Toccoa Falls to 26-of-68 (35.3%) shooting.

Zach Barrett had 12 points, nine rebounds and seven assists for Toccoa Falls. Cam Williams was 5 of 10 from the floor for 11 points.
