Grand Canyon tops Central Michigan 75-72 to stay unbeaten

PHOENIX (AP) Gerard Martin and De'Andre Davis each scored 17 points and Grand Canyon held off Central Michigan from the free-throw line for a 75-72 win Thursday night to remain undefeated through six games.

Braylon Rayson converted five straight free throws to pull the Chippewas even at 72-72 with 51 seconds left in the game. Davis hit a pair of free throws to give the Antelopes the lead, 74-72, and Joshua Brown hit the first of two to create the final margin.

Rayson missed a 3-point attempt to tie the game with 5 seconds left.

The Antelopes converted 26 of 57 shots from the field and 8 of 18 from distance while outrebounding Central Michigan 37-29.

Rayson scored 25 points and John Simons added 24 for the Chippewas (3-4). Rayshawn Simmons contributed 12 points.
