Ball State wins 6th straight, beats New Orleans 66-52

MUNCIE, Ind. (AP) Jeremiah Davis was 6 of 7 from the floor for 13 points to lead Ball State to its sixth straight victory, a 66-52 win over New Orleans on Saturday.

Jeremie Tyler nailed 3 of 6 from long range for 11 points and Franko House had 10 points and eight rebounds. Bo Calhoun grabbed 12 rebounds for the Cardinals.

Ball State (7-2) is off to its best start since the 1999-2000 team started 8-1.

The Cardinals trailed throughout the first half until Tyler nailed two straight treys and Bo Calhoun hit another 3-pointer for a 26-20 lead. They never trailed again, but New Orleans tied at 37 when Christavious Gill hit a jump shot with 13:18 left. Ball State answered with a 13-4 run to pull ahead 50-41 at the 7:23 mark and coasted to the win.

Gill led New Orleans (2-5) with 12 points.
