North Texasannounced former North Carolina offensive coordinator Seth Littrell will be their new head coach Saturday.

After coming over from Indiana in 2014, Littrell and the Tar Heels went 6–7, earning a bowl game against Rutgers. This Saturday, he will coach in North Carolina’s first ACC title game, against Clemson.

He started his career as an assistant at Texas Tech from 2005–08, before taking over as Arizona’s offensive coordinator from 2009–11 and moving to Indiana for two seasons.

The 37-year-old was one of two finalists for the job, according to McMurphy, beating out co-offensive coordinator Doug Meachem for the position.
