Clemson’s T.J. Green ejected for targeting on punt return vs. UNC

Clemson safety T.J. Green was ejected from the ACC title game against UNC for targeting on a punt return.
Green, the Tigers’ second-leading tackler this season, went in helmet-first on what appeared to be late hit on Tar Heels returner Ryan Switzer in the second quarter. Switzer had called for a fair catch when Green went in and decked him.

It was a frustrating first half for Clemson’s special teams units, with punter Andy Teasdall attempting to run for a first down on fourth and 15, and not getting one.
