Loyola Marymount ekes out win over UC Riverside 77-76

LOS ANGELES (AP) Marin Mornar's free throw with 1:03 left stood up as the difference and Loyola Marymount beat UC Riverside 77-76 on Sunday.

Mornar made 1 of 2 from the line after being fouled by Malik Thames. UC Riverside turned it over on its next possession, but LMU's Brandon Brown missed a jumper, giving the Highlanders one last shot. Jaylen Bland's 3-pointer with 3 seconds left missed, and the Lions hung on.

Adam Jacko led Loyola Marymount (5-3) with 16 points and seven rebounds. Munis Tutu scored 13 points while Mornar finished with 11 points.

Taylor Johns led UC Riverside (5-3) with 24 points, and tied a career high with 17 rebounds. Secean Johnson and Bland both scored 17 points.

UC Riverside led by 10 on Thames' 3-pointer with 8:32 to go in the first half. But Loyola Marymount went on a 9-2 run and trailed by one, 44-43, at intermission.
