Texas A&M QB Kyle Allen set to transfer immediately

Allen’s departure comes after spending only two seasons at the school.

Texas A&M quarterback Kyle Allen has decided to transfer, the school announced Thursday.

Allen announced his choice to leave the school on Twitter.

“Texas A&M University is a place unlike any other, and I wish things could have worked out here,” Allen wrote. “But at some points in life, people have to do what’s best for them. It is with a heavy heart that I say that I am transferring from Texas A&M. I appreciate everyone and everything here. This place will forever hold a special place in my heart.”

Allen’s departure comes after spending only two seasons at the school. He is a former five-star recruit.

The sophomore appeared in 10 games for Aggies this season, recording a 56.5 competition percentage. He threw for 2,210 yards, 17 touchdowns and 7 interceptions.

He was splitting playing time with freshman Kyler Murray.

Allen was 9–4 in 14 starts with Texas A&M. There has been no word on where Allen will transfer.
