Massinburg leads Buffalo past Binghamton 80-64

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) CJ Massinburg scored 17 points to lead a strong showing by reserves and Buffalo defeated Binghamton 80-64 on Saturday.

Lamonte Bearden added 14 points, Willie Conner had 12 and Jarryn Skeete 10 for the Bulls (5-5). Reserves Blake Hamilton had eight points, nine rebounds and eight assists and Rodell Wigginton had 11 rebounds and six points. For Hamilton it was a career-high in rebounds and assists and Wigginton matched his career high for rebounds as Buffalo had a 39-17 advantage on the boards.

Marlon Beck II made six 3-pointers had had a season-high 24 points for the Bearcats (2-7).

Massinburg had 14 points in the first half as Buffalo took a 38-30 lead. Willie Conner's 3-point play capped a 12-0 run early in the second half that pushed the lead to 51-34. Beck scored six straight to cut the gap to seven but Wigginton had six points with two dunks to help push it back to 16.
