GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) Khy Kabellis scored 12 of his 18 points in the final 6:06 to rally North Dakota State past North Dakota 69-67 on Friday night.

Kabellis' run started with a 3-pointer that pulled the Bison within 56-53. The freshman then tied it at 58 with another 3 and gave NDSU (6-3) the lead on the next possession with a driving runner off the glass. He pushed the lead to 65-59 with 1:04 left on his third 3-pointer during that stretch.

Geno Crandall failed to convert a 3-point play that would have pulled the Fighting Hawks (4-5) within two with 17.5 seconds. Corey Baldwin was fouled as he scored on the putback but missed his free throw as well, leaving North Dakota down 68-67. Crandall was blocked on a 3-point attempt at the buzzer.

Quinton Hooker scored 26 for North Dakota, which led by 15 early in the second half.
