Wisconsin Badgers running back Corey Clement has told his coaches that he will return to school next season, according to Jeff Potrykus of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Clement, who is finishing up his junior year, has only played in three games this season due to a sports hernia. He was considering declaring for the NFL draft.

In 2014, he backed up Heisman Trophy runner-up Melvin Godron, and rushed for 949 yards and nine touchdowns on 147 carries.

“He knows he can't leave,” running backs coach John Settle told reporters after bowl practice on Tuesday. “I was relieved because as a coach you don’t want to see a guy make a bad decision.”
