The Michigan Wolverines and Florida Gators meet in the Citrus Bowl on New Year’s Day in Orlando, Fla.

Michigan finished the season ranked No. 14 in the nation with a 9–3 record. The regular season came to an end for the Wolverines with a 42–13 loss to Ohio State.

The No. 19 Gators were on the cusp of potentially making a late-season push back into the College Football Playoff picture, but lost to Florida State in their regular season finale, and then to Alabama in the SEC championship game. Quarterback Treon Harris looks to turn around an offense that only managed to score one offensive touchdown in its last two games.
