The North Carolina Tar Heels will take on the Baylor Bears in the Russell Athletic Bowl on Tuesday. The game will be held at the Orlando Citrus Bowl Stadium in Florida.

The Tar Heels went 11–2 during the regular season. North Carolina last took the field against No. 1 Clemson on Dec. 5, falling to the undefeated Tigers 45–37. Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson threw for three touchdown passes and ran for two more scores to lead his team the victory. The Tar Heels cut the Tigers’ lead down to eight with 1:13 left to play, but they were unable to make the comeback.

The Bears finished their regular season with a record of 9–3. Baylor closed out their season with losses to TCU and the Texas Longhorns. Against Texas, Baylor rallied but ultimately lost 23–17.
