Old Dominion rolls to 77-47 win over Maryland-Eastern Shore

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) Trey Freeman had 21 points and seven assists, Aaron Bacote had 18 points and five assists and Old Dominion rolled to a 77-47 win over Maryland-Eastern Shore on Friday night.

Zoran Talley and Brandan Stith combined to go 11 of 14 from the field and scored 14 points apiece for the Monarchs (5-6), who raced to a 40-16 lead at the half and coasted to their 29th straight win at home.

Dontae Caldwell hit five 3-pointers and finished 7 of 11 from the field to score 23 points for the Hawks (1-10).

Stith had nine points, including two dunks and a 3-point play, as Old Dominion had a 19-1 run to lead 27-6 with 5:33 left in the first half.

The Monarchs finished with 21 assists on 29 baskets, shooting 56 percent (29 of 52).

UMES shot 20 percent in the first half and finished at 27 percent.
