Florida quarterback Will Grier will transfer, reports Scout.com.

Grier, a redshirt freshman, became the Gators’ starting quarterback in the fourth game of the 2015 season. He won his first three starts, leading the team to a 6–0 record, before being suspended a full year after testing positive for performance enhancing drugs. Grier’s appeal of the suspension was denied in November.

Grier would not be eligible to play for the Gators until Oct. 15, 2016. If he transfers to another Division I school, Grier will have to sit out a full season and return in 2017. He can play next season if he transfers to a junior college. Grier will still serve his suspension if he transfers to a lower division school.

In six games this season, Grier threw for 1,204 yards, with 10 touchdowns and three interceptions.
