North Florida beats Florida A&M 87-70

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) Dallas Moore scored 25 points and North Florida beat Florida A&M 87-70 on Saturday, extending its program-record consecutive home win streak to 14 games.

Moore made 10 of 16 from the floor - including a pair of 3-pointers - grabbed seven rebounds and had six assists. Chris Davenport scored 18 points, Beau Beech had 17 and Trent Mackey added 11 points.

Both teams started slowly, combining for 17 points over the first 6:57 of the game. North Florida (10-4) got consecutive 3-pointers by Moore and Davenport, and then went on to outscore the Rattlers 32-17 to lead by 20 at the break, 46-26. Florida A&M shot just over 23 percent before halftime, including 1 of 10 from beyond the arc.

Justin Ravenal finished with 16 points and Francois Lewis scored 15 for Florida A&M (4-8).

North Florida leads the in-state rivalry 4-2 and has won the past four meetings.
