Towson routs NAIA's Rio Grande 88-47

TOWSON, Md. (AP) William Adala Moto had 12 points with 11 rebounds and Towson routed NAIA's Rio Grande 88-47 on Sunday.

Walter Foster added 11 points and 10 rebounds for Towson, which bounced back from its 69-68 loss at Fairleigh Dickinson on Dec. 18 that snapped a six-game winning streak.

John Davis and Byron Hawkins had 13 points apiece, and Mike Morsell chipped in 11 for Towson (8-4). The Tigers' 41-point win is the fifth-largest in program history.

Dwayne Bazemore scored 17 points to lead Rio Grande.

Morsell made a 3-pointer to cap a 7-0 spurt and Towson led 27-13 midway through the first half. The Tigers built a 20-point halftime lead, and doubled it to a 40-point lead with four minutes left.

The Tigers are 5-0 at home, and have won each of the last four home games by more than 20 points.
