Hot-shooting Colorado State beats SC-Upstate 89-61

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) Antwan Scott scored 20 points - and every teammate scored - as Colorado State defeated South Carolina-Upstate 89-61 Monday night.

The Rams (7-5) shot 55 percent from the field and made 11 of 21 3-point shots to roll past S.C.-Upstate, leading by 10 at the half and by 33 late in the game.

Emmanuel Omogbo scored 17 points for Colorado State, Prentiss Nixon added 16 with five assists, J.D.Paige 15 points and Kimani Jackson 10. Every other player scored at least two points.

S.C.-Upstate (3-11) was led by 11 points each from Josh Cuthbertson and Phillip Whittington, and 10 from Deion Holmes.

The Spartans shot 38.5 percent from the field.

The Rams jetted away with three straight 3-pointers - two from Paige and one from Nixon - to build a 19-6 lead.
