Ole Miss linebacker Denzel Nkemdiche was hospitalized Monday after police responded to a call involving an “unresponsive male,” police said, according to The Clarion-Ledger. It is the second time in as many months that Nkemdiche has been hospitalized.

Nkemdiche was at an address in Ridgeland, Miss., about 150 miles south of the Ole Miss campus. He has not been with the team since he was hospitalized last month for undisclosed reasons.

There is no criminal investigation into the incident, police said.

Nkemdiche, a redshirt senior, played in 10 games this season and started nine. He is the older brother of Ole Miss star defensive end Robert Nkemdiche, who was suspended for the upcoming Sugar Bowl after an incident at an Atlanta hotel in which he fell over a wall and was hospitalized. He was later charged with marijuana possession and has since declared for the NFL draft.
