Princeton uses big 1st half to beat Bucknell 89-77

PRINCETON, N.J. (AP) Devin Cannady tied a career-high with 17 points and Spencer Weisz had 14 points and 10 rebounds to help Princeton beat Bucknell 89-77 on Tuesday night.

Cannady hit three of the Tigers' 10 3-pointers and Weisz made two.

Henry Caruso and Steven Cook added 13 points apiece for Princeton (7-3), which has won four of the last five games in the series. Weisz recorded his second double-double of the season.

After a back-and-fourth start, Princeton went on a 23-7 spurt and led 48-29 at halftime. The Tigers led by as many as 25 points.

Both teams shot over 54 percent from the field overall but Princeton outrebounded Bucknell 41-22, including 12-2 on the offensive glass.

Chris Hass led Bucknell (3-7) with 21 points and Zach Thomas added 16 points.
