UAB blazes past Hiwassee College 116-43

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) Robert Brown scored 20 points and six teammates also scored in double figures as UAB defeated tiny Hiwassee College 116-43 Tuesday night, running its win streak to six games for the first time since 2010.

The Blazers (9-3) shot 63 percent (45-for-71) with 27 assists. UAB has notched at least 20 assists for the fourth straight game.

After Brown, Chris Cokley added 15, shooting 5-for-5 from the field, Tyler Madison chipped in 13, Lewis Sullivan 12, Tosin Mehinti 11 and Hakeem Baxter and William Lee 10 points each.

The 116 points is tied for the second-most points in UAB history, but the 73-point margin of victory is UAB's largest.

The Warriors- from the NCCAA member- shot 18 percent (15-for-84) with Danny Graves and Demetrius Kitchens each scoring six points.

The Blazers also racked up a 59-37 rebounding edge and a season-high 15 blocked shots.
