Tulsa scores first 19 points, beats Northern Arizona 90-55

TULSA, Okla. (AP) Shaquille Harrison led six players into double-digit scoring with 15 points as Tulsa defeated Northern Arizona 90-55 Tuesday night.

The Golden Hurricane (8-4) opened on a 19-0 run, Northern Arizona not scoring until there was 12:24 left to play in the first half.

Tulsa made seven of its first nine shots - including 3-pointers from Pat Birt, Rashad Ray and James Woodard - in the opening blast and finished the game shooting 56.5 percent (35-62).

D'Andre Wright and Sterling Taplin scored 13 points each - Taplin's a career high - for Tulsa, Woodard 12, and Rashad Smith and Ray 11 each. Ray added seven assists and Smith had six steals. In the first half, Ray whipped a no-look pass behind him to Smith, who finished the breakaway with a dunk.

Tulsa led 47-20 at halftime, its most first-half points of the season.

Ako Kaluna led NAU (2-9) with 23 points.
