Charleston Southern beats St. Andrews 92-39

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) Aaron Wheeler scored 13 points and grabbed 11 rebounds and Charleston Southern beat St. Andrews 92-39 on Tuesday night.

Patrick Wallace led the Buccaneers (5-6) with 15 points. Demetrius Pollard added 13, Raemond Robinson 12 and Armel Potter and Urgo Mmonu 10 apiece.

Lee Vanderhorst led the NAIA Knights with 15 points off the bench. The Knights shot just 25 percent and committed 25 turnovers.

The outcome was decided early. Charleston Southern was leading by seven when Wallace hit three 3-pointers during a 15-0 run in the first half. Wallace made another 3-pointer in an 8-0 run, and the Buccaneers led by 29 points at halftime.

A pair of 12-0 runs in the second half led to a 59-point advantage with 4:10 remaining.

The game was an exhibition for St. Andrews.
