Oklahoma cornerback Zack Sanchez will forego his senior season and declare for the NFL draft, he announced on Twitter on Friday.

Sanchez, a redshirt junior, made the announcement on the heels of his team’s 37–17 loss to No. 1 Clemson in the Orange Bowl on Thursday.

The Texas native made 37 career starts in his three seasons with the Sooners, ranking fourth in program history with 15 interceptions. He recorded 45 tackles and seven interceptions, while also returning one interception for a touchdown in his final collegiate season, despite missing two games in 2015 due to a leg injury.

A 2014 All-Big 12 first team selection, Sanchez was also a FWAA Freshman All-America pick in 2013.

Throughout his college career, Sanchez helped the Sooners win the 2014 Sugar Bowl over Alabama, capture the Big 12 championship this season and make a College Football Playoff appearance.
