Hofstra beats Towson 90-58

TOWSON, Md. (AP) Brian Bernardi scored 21 with four 3-pointers, Juan'ya Green added 16 points, seven assists and five rebounds, and Hofstra beat Towson 90-58 on Saturday night.

The Pride (10-4, 2-0 Colonial Athletic Conference) outscored Towson 45-29 in both halves to win their fourth straight.

Mike Morsell's jumper pulled Towson (10-5, 1-1) within 24-21 with 7:23 left in the first half. Hofstra closed the period on a 21-8 run and maintained a double-digit lead throughout the second half.

Denton Koon had 15 points and nine rebounds, Ameen Tanksley scored 14, and Rokas Gustys had nine points and 11 rebounds. The Pride shot 12 of 24 from 3-point range while the Tigers were 2 of 14.

William Adala Moto had 14 points to lead Towson, which had its three-game winning streak snapped. Morsell added 12 and Walter Foster had 10 points and 10 boards.
