Tennessee Tech rolls to 86-63 win over SIU-Edwardsville

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Ryan Martin scored a career-high 26 points and grabbed seven rebounds as Tennessee Tech rolled to an 86-63 win over SIU-Edwardsville on Saturday night.

Martin finished with 8-of-13 shooting from the field and 9-of-10 shooting from the line for the Golden Eagles (10-5, 2-0 Ohio Valley Conference). Anthony Morse added 17 points and seven rebounds and Hakeem Rogers and Torrance Rowe had 12 points apiece.

Martin hit a layup and a 3-pointer back-to-back as part of an 11-6 run that gave the Golden Eagles a 22-10 lead with 11:30 to go in the first half. They led 42-29 at the break.

Rogers sank four 3-pointers within five minutes midway through the second period to help extend Tennessee Tech's advantage to 68-47 with 8:15 left. The Golden Eagles cruised to the win from there.

Carlos Anderson led the Cougars (3-11, 0-2) with 16 points and seven boards.
