Four-star wide receiver Diondre Overton verbally committed to Clemson on Sunday, according to Scout.com.

Overton made the announcement live on Fox Sports 1 during the Semper Fidelis All-American bowl. Clemson was one of his final-two options, along with North Carolina State.

“Honestly I felt like Clemson would give me a better shot at the next level,” Overton said during his announcement. “I feel like they develop their wide receivers very well.”

Overton is ranked by Scout as the 42nd overall receiver and the No. 2 receiver from North Carolina.

He snagged 78 catches for 1,251 yards and 15 touchdowns for Page High School this season.
