Ohio State cornerback Eli Appleannounced his decision to declare for the 2016 NFL draft in a message on Twitter on Monday.

“My time at the Ohio State University has prepared me to pursue another childhood dream: playing in the NFL draft. I’ve decided to forgo my last two years of eligibility and enter the NFL draft,” Apple wrote.

Apple recorded 86 tackles, 17 passes defended and four interceptions over the course of two season with the Buckeyes.

Apple joins teammates Darron Lee, Joey Bosa, Tyvis Powell, Cardale Jones, and Ezekiel Elliott, who have all declared for the NFL draft. Ohio State safety Von Bell is also expected to enter the draft.

The Buckeyes finished the season with a record of 12–1 after defeating Notre Dame 44–28 in the Fiesta Bowl. Apple was named defensive MVP of the game with five tackles and one pass break-up.
