Ohio State wide receiver Michael Thomasannounced his decision to declare for the 2016 NFL draft Tuesday.

“I’ve had a chance to speak with my Dad and family the people I lean on and have decided to forgo my Senior year and chase a life long dream of playing on Sunday,” Thomas wrote in a message on Twitter.

Thomas is the eighth member of the Buckeye team to declare for the draft. He joins Jalin Marshall, Ezekiel Elliott, Cardale Jones, Eli Apple, Darron Lee, Tyvis Powell, and Joey Bosa, who have all decided to forgo the remainder of their time at Ohio State.

Over the course of his collegiate career, Thomas accumulated 113 receptions for 1602 yards and 18 receptions. The wide receiver led Ohio State with 56 catches for 781 yards and nine touchdowns this season.

Ohio State finished the season with a record of 12–1 after defeating Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl on Jan. 1.
