Florida A&M edges Savannah State 61-58

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) Craig Bowman scored 15 points to help Florida A&M edge Savannah State 61-58 on Tuesday night.

Bowman, the sophomore guard, led the Panthers despite 5-of-15 shooting from the floor. Malcolm Bernard and Justin Ravenal added 13 points apiece for Florida A&M.

The Panthers (5-10, 1-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) bounced back from double-digit losses to Florida International and North Florida, and a two-point defeat to Jacksonville to snap a three-game skid.

Troyce Manassa scored 21 points on 7-of-11 shooting to lead the Tigers (4-8, 0-1), who have lost four in a row and eight of their last nine. Teslim Idris chipped in 10 points.

The Panthers travel to Norfolk State on Saturday and play at Hampton on Monday.

Savannah State hosts North Carolina A&T on Saturday and North Carolina Central on Monday.
