Concord head coach Garin Justice joins Florida Atlantic as OL coach

Concord head coach Garin Justice has joined Florida Atlantic’s staff as offensive line coach

Concord University head coach Garin Justice is the new offensive line coach for Florida Atlantic coach Charlie Partridge, according to a source. Justice later updated his Twitter bio to confirm the news and tweeted a message of support to his former players.

Justice was an offensive lineman at West Virginia from 2001 to ’05 for then-assistant head coach and offensive line coach Rick Trickett, the father of newly hired Florida Atlantic offensive coordinator Travis Trickett. Justice was also a graduate assistant for the elder Trickett, now Florida State’s assistant head coach and offensive line coach, at West Virginia in 2006 and with the Seminoles from ’07 to ’08.

Justice became Concord’s offensive line coach and strength & conditioning coordinator in 2009 and was promoted to head coach two years later. He had a 40–17 record in his five seasons at the NCAA Division II school located in Athens, W.Va.

A Gilbert, W.Va., native, Justice replaces Bart Miller, who left last month to become Minnesota’s offensive line coach. Justice joins a Florida Atlantic program that made noticeable progress this season in Partridge’s second year despite a 3–9 record.

Five of the Owls’ losses were by 10 points or less, including a 20–14 overtime loss at then-No. 8 Florida in late November.
