Morehead State beats Southeast Missouri 96-69

MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) Brent Arrington scored 21 points and Morehead State beat Southeast Missouri 96-69 on Thursday night.

Arrington was 8 of 11 from the field, including 4 of 5 from 3-point range, for the Eagles (7-7, 1-1 Ohio Valley). DeJuan Marrero added 12 points and Corban Collins, who made all three of his 3-point attempts, 11.

The Eagles, who shot 55 percent overall and 56 percent from the arc, outscored the Redhawks 52-28 in the paint.

Isiah Jones led the Redhawks (2-13, 0-3) with 15 points. Antonius Cleveland added 13 points and Joel Angus III 12. Southeast Missouri shot just 38 percent and had 19 turnovers that led to 27 Eagles points.

The Redhawks had their only lead at 2-0. The Eagles scored the next 14 points. Morehead State kicked off the second half with a 16-4 run for a 62-35 advantage and would lead by as many as 37.
