Alabama A&M beats Arkansas-Pine Bluff 85-70

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) Ladarius Tabb scored 31 points on 12-of-23 shooting and qrabbed 11 rebounds and Alabama A&M beat Arkansas-Pine Bluff 85-70 on Saturday night for the Golden Lions' ninth straight loss.

Nicholas West scored 14 points, Rakiya Battle added 12 with six assists, and the Bulldogs (5-7, 1-2 Southwestern Athletic Conference) never trailed.

Leading by six at halftime, Alabama A&M pulled away 74-56 on a 13-4 run in which Tyler Davis and Battle each scored 3-pointers. Adrian Edwards' dunk with 1:44 to play put Alabama A&M up by 18 for the second time in the game and the Golden Lions got no closer than 12 the rest of the way.

Arkansas-Pine Bluff shot 51 percent from the field to the Bulldogs' 45 percent, but was outrebounded 39-27 and Alabama A&M made 23 of 28 free throws.

Ghiavonni Robinson scored 24 points with 6 of 13 3-pointers for the Golden Lions (2-14, 0-2) and Charles Jackson added 13.
