Princeton rallies to beat Penn in OT, 73-71

PHILADELPHIA (AP) Amir Bell scored 28 points, including 4 of 5 from 3-point range, and Princeton rallied in overtime to beat Penn 73-71 in the Ivy League opener for both teams on Saturday.

After Princeton's Devin Cannady hit a jumper with 20 seconds left in regulation to force overtime, the Quakers scored five straight to open the extra period to take a 71-66 lead with 3:12 left.

But Princeton (10-4, 1-0) fought back, scoring the final 7 points of the game to steal back the lead and the game. All 7 of the points came at the free throw line, including a perfect 4 of 4 by Myles Stephens.

Cannady and Spencer Weisz each scored 10 points for the Tigers, who finished 22 of 30 at the line overall.

Darien Nelson-Henry scored 17 points to lead Penn (6-8, 0-1). Jackson Donahue added 16 points for the Quakers.
