BOISE, Idaho (AP) Nick Duncan made six 3-pointers in the first half and scored 24 points, James Webb III added 24 points and 18 rebounds and Boise State rolled past San Jose State 94-69 on Wednesday night.

Duncan made five of his first six attempts from beyond the arc and had 20 points at halftime, and the Broncos (14-5, 5-1 Mountain West) led 45-32.

''We didn't have the sense of urgency to get out on Nick in the beginning of the game, and he made us pay for it,'' San Jose State coach Dave Wojcik said.

Webb's rebounding total was a career best and it was his ninth double-double of the season for Boise State, which bounced back from a loss at home to San Diego State on Saturday.

''The loss helped us focus on what we had to do,'' Webb said.

The Broncos went 1 of 17 from 3-point range in that loss, but made nine 3s Wednesday night to bounce back.

''We're not good shooters - we're great shooters,'' Boise State coach Leon Rice said. ''And we're really great shooters when we pass up a good shot for a great shot. I thought we did that tonight.''

San Jose State (6-13, 1-6) had eight of its 15 turnovers in the first half and trailed 11-0. The Spartans never got closer than six points, the latest coming at 47-41 with 16:31 left after a 9-0 run.

''Credit San Jose State,'' Rice said. ''One thing you know is they aren't going to quit playing.''

Ryan Welage led San Jose State with 19 points, while Brandon Clarke had 13 points and 11 rebounds. Both are freshmen. At times, the Spartans played with four freshmen on the floor and outshot the Broncos for the game 45.9 percent to 43.2 percent.

''They're growing up before our eyes,'' Wojcik said of his young roster. ''The key for us is learning how to win.''

Mikey Thompson scored 16 points and Paris Austin added 11 for Boise State, which enjoyed a 49-31 edge on the boards and didn't turn the ball over in the first 18 minutes of the game.
