Four-star cornerback David Long verbally committed to Michigan on Thursday, making his announcement during a live broadcast on ESPNU.

The Los Angeles native, who is ranked as the No. 5 cornerback in the 2016 class by Scout.com, reduced his list of schools to Michigan and Washington before making his decision.

Long’s commitment brings head coach Jim Harbaugh’s first full recruiting class to 21 players. He is currently the third-highest rated player in the class.

Harbaugh made national headlines earlier this week, when he climbed a tree while visiting Long on a recruiting trip.
