Perfect Blackmon leads St. Francis (Pa) past CCSU, 79-64

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) Isaiah Blackmon couldn't miss, hitting all his shots and scoring 20 points off the bench to lead St. Francis of Pennsylvania to a 79-64 victory to keep CentralConnecticut winless in Northeast Conference play Saturday.

Blackmon was 9-for-9 from the field, hit his only attempt from beyond the arc, and went 1-for-1 from the line. The Red Flash was 25 of 50 from the floor and 6 of 16 from long range.

St. Francis (9-10, 5-3) took a 36-33 lead at intermission and pulled away in the second half, going on a 9-0 run sparked by Malik Harmon's 3-pointer with 14:23 left that gave the Red Flash a 53-41 lead.

Ronnie Drinnon dropped 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for St. Francis and Harmon hit 3 of 6 from behind the arc to add 15 points.

Austin Nehls scored 21 points to lead Central Connecticut (1-18, 0-6). Brandon Peel added 17.
