BOSTON (AP) Mike Morsell had back-to-back steals, a free throw and a 3-point basket to help spark a breakaway 16-0 run late in the game as Towson defeated Northeastern 79-72 on Saturday.

Eddie Keith II started things with a jumper for a 45-44 Towson lead in a game that, to that point, had seen 10 lead changes and five ties. Morsell ended the four-minute rally with another 3-pointer and the Tigers up 59-44.

Towson (14-7, 5-3 Colonial Athletic Association) was led by John Davis' 20 points, and 15 from Byron Hawkins.

Northeastern (12-9, 4-4) surged back to as close as 77-72 behind David Walker's career-high 32 points, the second time in a week, and third this season, he's scored more than 30.

Towson, which had been making just over half its free throws during the game, made its final 10 foul shots in the last 41 seconds to keep Northeastern at bay.
