Jackson from 3 leads Boise State past Wyoming, 81-71

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) Lonnie Jackson knocked down seven 3-pointers, five in the second half, and scored 21 points as Boise State topped short-handed Wyoming, 81-71 Saturday.

Wyoming was without guard Josh Adams, who was issued a one-game suspension by the Mountain West Conference for repeated violations of the conference sportsmanship policy.

After being tied at halftime, 38-38, Boise State opened the second half on a 9-2 run to take control. Jackson hit three 3-pointers over a four-minute span that left the Broncos in front, 55-47 with 14:45 remaining.

Mikey Thompson made 4 of 4 from the line in the final 1:26 and converted a 3-point play with 34 seconds left to make it 79-68.

Thompson finished with 15 points and dished out five assists for Boise State (15-5, 6-1), and Anthony Drmic added 15 points.

Jason McManamen scored 25 points and Alan Herndon had 16 to lead Wyoming (10-11, 3-5).
