Nevada edges out UNLV 65-63 to win 4th straight

RENO, Nev. (AP) Marqueze Coleman scored 21 points, Cameron Oliver added 12 and Nevada hung on to beat in-state rival UNLV 65-63 on Saturday night to win its fourth straight.

Tyron Criswell scored 11 off the bench and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Wolfpack (12-7, 4-3 Mountain West), who missed all nine of their shots from beyond the arc, but made 25 of 34 free throws.

Lindsey Drew put Nevada up 61-60 with 1:01 to play with a free throw and the Wolfpack led 64-61 with 12 seconds left after Coleman hit a pair from the stripe.

Jalen Poyser grabbed an offensive rebound and made a layup to pull UNLV within one with a second left and Coleman capped the scoring with 1 of 2 free throws.

Coleman made 15 of 20 free throws for Nevada, which shot 33 percent from the field.

Ben Carter scored nine points for UNLV (12-8, 3-4) and Stephen Zimmerman Jr. grabbed 11 rebounds.
