RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) North Carolina State coach Mark Gottfried says he's monitoring point guard Anthony ''Cat'' Barber's knee.

Gottfried said Monday that it's ''wait and see'' for the Atlantic Coast Conference's leading scorer. He says he didn't expect Barber to practice later that day but ''we'll just kind of monitor him over the next few days.''

Barber banged his left knee against a Duke player's knee early in the second half of an 88-78 loss to Duke on Saturday. He finished with 19 points to lead the Wolfpack, but didn't score after the injury.

Barber averages 22.1 points for North Carolina State (11-9, 1-6). If he can't play against Georgia Tech on Wednesday night, Gottfried says Cody Martin will replace him.
