Houston Baptist beats Hillsdale Free Will Baptist 109-84

HOUSTON (AP) Jourdan Stickler scored a career-high 22 points to lead seven Houston Baptist players in double figures as the Huskies cruised to a 109-84 win over Hillsdale Free Will Baptist on Monday night.

Stickler made 8 of 10 field goals attempts, including a career-best six 3-pointers for the Huskies (13-7). Colter Lasher scored 16 and Alex Fountain 14. Caleb Crayton and Isaiah Robinson added 12 points apiece while Reveal Chukwujekwu scored 11 and Trey Patterson had 10 with a career-high eight assists.

Houston Baptist has won nine games in a row and 11 of its last 12.

A 3-pointer by Trey Snead pulled Hillsdale within two with five minutes left in the first half, but Stickler made a layup and Patterson converted a 3-point play to spark a 14-0 run that spanned halftime and made it 51-35 with 18 minutes to play. The Huskies cruised from there.

Adam Morales led Hillsdale - a member of the National Christian College Athletic Association - with 21 points.
