Four-star wide receiver recruit Sam Bruce has announced his commitment to Miami.

Bruce, a South Florida native, had been verbally committed to the Hurricanes since summer 2014 but made his final decision Monday. Ohio State and South Carolina had also been contenders.

Scout.com ranks Bruce as the No. 141 player in his class and the No. 24 receiver.

Al Golden was Miami’s head coach when Bruce first committed to the Canes. Golden was fired midway through last season and replaced by former Georgia coach Mark Richt.
