GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) Geoff Beans scored 16, and Devin Sibley added 13 points Thursday night to help Furman hold on for a 62-60 win over Western Carolina.

Stephen Croone and Kris Acox added 12 points apiece for Furman, which has won six in a row at home at three straight overall.

Sibley sandwiched a jumper and a layup around a free throw by Mike Brown to put Furman (12-10, 6-3 Southern Conference) up 59-54 with 1:12 to play.

Justin Browning's layup trimmed the deficit to three and, after Croone hit 1 of 2 free throws, Rhett Harrelson made a layup to make it 60-58 with 30 seconds to go.

Croone made 1 of 2 from the line and a layup by Browning pulled Western Carolina (8-13, 3-5) within one with 12 seconds remaining.

Again, Croone hit 1 of 2 foul shots to make it 62-60 and Matt Rafferty blocked a driving, potential tying layup by Brown to seal it.

Brown led Western Carolina with 27 points.
