North Carolina head coach Roy Williams has a bone to pick with ESPN.

During his weekly Friday news conference, Williams veered off topic to weigh in on the way the network covers college basketball during the regular season, saying that it focuses too heavily on the NBA draft and its prospects as opposed to actual college hoops.

“...I don’t think I have to be perfect for national TV...I don’t think ESPN’s our partner...I got on TV, college basketball games, and they’re talking about the frickin green room? And that’s one of our partners? That’s half the damn broadcast.

“You’re trying to win championships, it’s January, and ESPN’s talking about something...green room...that’s the most ridiculous thing we’re having to put up with in college basketball. TV drives everything.

“...That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen. You can put [this] in capital letters and send it to ESPN.”
