Report: Baylor didn't act on sex assault complaints

WACO, Texas (AP) An ESPN report says that Baylor University failed to act on complaints by three female students that they were sexually assaulted by a former football player who was later convicted.

The report by the ''Outside The Lines'' program contends that an administrator told one of the students that Baylor had received multiple complaints against Tevin Elliott, now 24. ESPN did not identify the three students.

Baylor told The Associated Press in a statement Monday that the school investigates all complaints of sexual assault.

Elliott was convicted in 2014 of sexually assaulting one of the students and sentenced to 20 years in prison. He told ESPN that the sex was consensual.

Another Baylor football player, Sam Ukwuachu, was sentenced last year to six months in jail for sexual assault.
