Four-star linebacker Dontavious Jackson committed to Florida State on Wednesday, making the announcement live on ESPN.

Jackson is the 65th ranked recruit in the class of 2016 and fourth-best player at his position, according to Scout.com. The Houston, Texas native was an Under Armour All-America selection this season.

Jackson, who had over 50 offers, chose the Seminoles over in-state power Texas, along with Alabama, Florida and Michigan.

Here is what Scout.com has to say about Jackson:

“Jackson is a true middle linebacker and brings to the table the skills you are looking for at the position. He's a pretty physical player and has good size to stand up to down to down punishment in the middle of a defense. He diagnoses the play quickly and is tough to block. He gets downhill quickly, showing great vertical quickness to get to ball carriers. He is at his best against the run. He runs through tackles and is a sure finisher.”
