Carter, a native of Kentwood, La., is the 98th ranked player in the class of 2016 and No. 2 Louisiana cornerback, according to Scout.com. He is the 17th commitment in Alabama’s 2016 recruiting class.
Carter chose the Crimson Tide over Ole Miss, Miami, LSU and Georgia, after making an official visit to Tuscaloosa at the end of last month.
The 6-foot, 190 pound corner, who had previously committed to Alabama during his junior year but decommitted in August, now joins Nigel Knott as Alabama’s top cornerback commits.

Carter finished his high school career with more than 4,000 yards of total offense and 30 touchdowns.
